History Of Geox
Geox was founded in 1995 in Italy by Mario Moretti Polegato. The conception of the brand came about quite serendipitously when Polegato was on a trip in Nevada and found his feet overheating during a walk. In response, he punctured holes in his shoes with a knife for better ventilation. Recognizing a potential market for breathable shoes, Polegato developed this idea into a commercial venture. After returning to Italy, he collaborated with a research lab to create a prototype with a breathable membrane, which laid the foundation for what Geox is most known for today – its patented breathable technology. Over the years, Geox has expanded globally, establishing itself in various markets around the world both through physical stores and an online presence via geox.com.
